Extension Board Responsibilities


Program Planning
The primary program planning duties of the County Extension Board are:
The development of specific educational programs in the county is the responsibility of the 4-H Club Council, the Extension Homemaker Council, and/or other committees. The Extension Board may recommend programs or courses of action, but shall not do any actual program planning for a group.

Budget
The County Extension Board has the responsibility in assisting with planning and preparing the Annual County Budget for the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, as well as presenting and explaining the budget to the County Council in cooperation with the County Extension Director.

Personnel
The Extension Board is responsible for evaluating Purdue Extension personnel annually to determine and identify strengths and weaknesses of programs and program execution.
