    Purdue Dining with Diabetes Program (DWD) -  provides an initial session
    on the problem of diabetes and then 3 sessions covering different nutrition topics
    related to diabetes. Each of the 3 sessions involves a food preparation

    demonstration on preparing foods for someone with diabetes.

    The Have a Healthy Baby Program is a prenatal nutrition education
    program consisting of six lessons that emphasize nutrition and lifestyle choices

    smoking, drinking and drugs. The program is research-based,and taught by

    trained, caring professionals. It includes a highly visual, interactive,

    and complete curriculum.

Exploring the Food Pyramid with Professor Popcorn (Professor Popcorn)

    is a curriculum for youth in grades 1-6.  Major concepts included in the

    curriculum have been linked  to Indiana's health and science education

    standards. Topics include: the Food Guide Pyramid,  including servings

    and serving sizes; the Dietary Guidelines for Americans; the Fight Bac!

    Concepts of Clean, Separate, Cook and Chill; and finally,

    the importance of physical activity to health.

Family Nutrition Program (FNP)

 

The Family Nutrition Program's mission is to increase the ability
of individuals and families with limited resources to utilize their food
dollars and food stamps appropriately and to provide a safe meal
environment. This mission is accomplished by providing free,

informal, and easily accessible educational programs in the home and
community. These programs focus on developing knowledge and skills
related to nutrition and meal planning; food purchasing, preparation,
and safety; and food budgeting.
