Do you see changes in your community?
Are traffic and congestion becoming a problem?
Is the farmland in your county being subdivided for housing?
Is the rural character of your community changing?
Are land use changes affecting your environment and quality of life?
Do you have concerns or questions about land use change?

The Purdue Extension Land Use Team offers educational materials and programming to help you and your community tackle these problems and answer these questions. The team is composed of Extension educators and campus-based scientists working together to address land use issues in Indiana.

  • Scientists are conducting research and developing tools and materials local decision makers can use as they plan for future community growth.
  • Team members have developed educational materials and programs to help you and your local decision makers learn more about land use issues facing your community and the options and tradeoffs involved.
  • Extension educators are available to work with you and your neighbors as you consider the ever-changing land use issues facing your community.
