Are you a Registered Technician or do you hold a Category 4 (seed treatment) pesticide license and need continuing education? Purdue Extension is offering a Seed Treatment Conference at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center in the Expo Hall on December 10 from 8:00 AM until Noon. Registration and a light breakfast will be available at 7:30 AM Central time.  “Holding educational events geared towards particular audiences that would otherwise have to travel hours for such education is a prime example of Purdue Extension reaching clientele where they stand,” said Purdue Extension Educator Hans Schmitz.

Sessions begin at 8 AM with Purdue Extension Field Crop Pathologist Dr. Darcy Telenko. Dr. Telenko will present “Wet Soils and Fungicide Seed Treatments: The Basics, the Interaction, and the Economics” remotely from West Lafayette followed by Dr. John Obermeyer, Extension Entomologist, speaking on “Insecticide Seed Treatments”. Live speakers Kenneth Eck, Purdue Extension Educator for Agriculture and Natural Resources, from Dubois County and Andrew Smith, Purdue Extension Urban Agriculture Educator will present “Seed Treatment and Soil Health” and “Seed Treatment for Horticultural Crops.” 4 Category 4 CCHs, and 4 RT Credits available.

Please bring your pesticide license.

RSVP by Contacting Hans Schmitz at (812) 838-1331 or hschmitz@purdue.edu
