Purdue Extension is proud to announce that Brittney Schori, Adam Shanks, Laura Dodds, Kayla Wright and Dee Nicely have been selected to participate in the prestigious North Central Extension Leadership Development (NELD) program. This achievement reflects their dedication, expertise and commitment to advancing Purdue Extension’s mission to empower individuals and communities through impactful programming and leadership.
The NELD program is designed to build leadership capacity across Extension at all levels. Through a series of transformative experiences, participants gain the vision, courage and tools to lead effectively in a rapidly changing world. The program’s mission is to prepare current and future Extension leaders to embrace challenges, collaborate effectively and make informed decisions that strengthen programming and foster lifelong learning.
The selection of Brittney, Adam, Laura, Kayla, and Dee for this program is a testament to their impact within Purdue Extension. They will bring back valuable insights, skills and strategies to enhance our collective efforts to serve communities throughout Indiana.
Please join us in congratulating these outstanding individuals on this significant accomplishment. We look forward to seeing their leadership journey unfold and the positive impact they will continue to make in Extension and beyond.
Many thanks to each of you who participated in the 2024 Purdue Extension Professional Development Conference!
We welcomed 435 Extension professionals, guests, and partners; participated in 86 educational presentations and roundtable sessions; visited with representatives of 28 department/program showcase displays; participated in association business meetings; heard from keynote speaker Marshall Stewart and Dean Bernie Engel; welcomed a talented group of new Extension professionals; recognized our peers for their accomplishments; and networked with our colleagues from across the state of Indiana. It was a productive two days!
Many thanks to the PDC committee, those who allowed us to borrow their office/department’s equipment, and all who provided assistance with set-up and tear-down (saving us a charge of $1.50 for each table and chair – over $1,600 in total savings.) It takes a literal village to put on a successful PDC!
Over the next few weeks, here are some things you can expect to find on the PDC webpage (https://extension.purdue.edu/pdc/):
For those who had their photos taken by Ag Communications on Wednesday morning, Joshua Clark will be sending you links to your individual photo galleries so that you can download your photos. Those should be coming to you soon.
If you have not had a chance to provide your feedback for PDC, you may still do so by completing the Qualtrics survey.
For your 2025 calendars, please reserve Dec. 3-4 for PDC at the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Thank you for your support of this event!
