Extension Homemakers from 11 counties will gather for a fun day together with the IEHA State President and Vice-President. The meeting will be Thursday, September 19th, at Center Christian Church starting at 8:30 am. The theme is “Golden Memories” with Suellen Reed and Jane Hallgarth giving a presentation on the history of Little Golden Books. The committee is collecting Little Golden Books to use as table decorations and door prizes. They will also be reaching out to clubs for assistance with morning refreshments. If you have Little Golden Books that you can donate, please call the office – 932-5974. At the meeting we will feature The Open Book, Rush County’s Learning Center to promote literacy. Those attending are invited to bring books to donate to The Open Book. There will also be a Silent Auction with a portion of the proceeds going to The Open Book.

The noon meal is being catered by the Park Restaurant. Reservations can be made by sending your name and county along with $11 (payable to Rush County Extension Homemakers) to Mary Delay, 10983 N 150 E, Lewisville, IN 47352. You can register as a club or as individuals. There is NOT a separate registration form, but please contact Mary by September 5. This event typically has 120+ in attendance.
