Luis works in Daviess County and Southwest Indiana providing bilingual Extension education programs and working collaboratively with other community organizations to identify the needs of underserved audiences in rural Southwest Indiana. His interests are in Public Health, food safety, digital literacy and promoting post-secondary education opportunities among underserved youth through the Juntos 4-H program.

Luis holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in animal science from the University of Puerto Rico- Mayagüez, a master’s degree in human services from Purdue University Global. He is also a Certified Community Health Worker and is also certified as Medical Interpreter.
