What We Do

Purdue Extension is enhancing childcare support by addressing the needs of providers, offering relevant training, and fostering connections within the childcare community. These efforts aim to improve the quality of childcare, access to resources, and professional networks. Childcare providers often work in isolation, facing challenges in identifying and utilizing available resources.

To address this, Purdue Extension has hired personnel, developed a childcare business course, and hosts childcare summits in the Wabash Heartland Region. The goal is to learn from stakeholders and create a supportive childcare ecosystem, with plans to expand the initiative statewide. The website offers resources, team information, and summit details for childcare providers and stakeholders in Indiana.
