4-H Alumni Spotlight

February 22, 2018
4-H Alumni Cody Walker

Congratulations to Cody Walker, this past weekend two of his Shenandoah wrestlers were in the IHSAA State Wrestling Finals! Cody has been keeping busy with coaching high school and club wrestling. When he's not coaching, he's spending time with his family and works with his father building custom livestock gates, as well as, working for Henry County REMC. Cody is also active on the Henry County 4-H Swine Committee.

When Cody was asked to reflect on his time as a 4-H'er, he said, "4-H has helped me become who I am today because of leadership roles I had during my 4-H career. Having learned good people skills and hard work ethic through 4-H has put me in a great position to be a coach. Putting time into livestock day in and day out has prepared me for times like coaching wrestling. Wrestling is a 6-7 day a week process just like 4-H."
