Aerospace ** 2019 Changes**

Exhibit Requirements:

  1. ALL completed record sheets and manuals/activity books must be turned in to the 4-H Club leader by July 8, and must be securely attached in the green "Indiana 4-H Club Member's Record Book."
  2. If any part of your exhibit is on a poster, it must follow the poster rules stated in the front of this book. It is REQUIRED that all posters, notebooks, and display boards include a reference list indicating where information was obtained, giving credit to the
    original author, to complete the 4H member’s exhibit. This reference list should might include website links, people and professionals interviewed, books, magazines, etc. It is recommended this reference list be attached to the back of a poster or display board, be the last page of a notebook, or included as a part of the display visible to the public. A judge is not to discredit an exhibit for the manner in which references are listed.
  3. Members must complete 3 activities per year in their manuals.
  4. 4-H members are not required to include their rocket construction plans with their rocket at time of fair entry.
  5. No "Ready to Fly" or E2X rockets are acceptable in the 4-H Aerospace project.
  6. Rocket model kit plans do not need to be included for judging.
  7. Do NOT pack the igniter for construction judging.
  8. Rockets may be exhibited with a base, but launch pads are not permitted. All rockets must weigh less than 3.3 pounds and considered an amateur rocket according to FAA regulations. 
  9. Remote control aircraft or drones may be constructed from a kit or purchased ready-to-fly.

Remote control aircraft or drone of your choice that is age/grade appropriate and compliant with FFA regulations, federal and state laws, and local ordinances.  This exhibit choice is to include a notebook or poster including how the aircraft/drone was · used and aerospace skills learned.  Displaying the aircraft or drone is optional.

 

(Grades 9-12) - Manual BU-6845 -  2 State Fair entries (one rocket, remote control aircraft or drone and one display board)
Exhibit one of the following:
