Topics and Speaker list for 2021 Adult Farmer Classes

The Wabash County Purdue Extension Office will be holding an in-person Adult Farmer Classes at the REMC Heartland Community Room. We have added a few extra measures to make sure that all our patrons remain safe and healthy while hearing from some outstanding guest speakers. Refreshments and door prizes will be limited and masks should be worn at all times. The entire room will be set up ensure social distance and tables will be cleaned before and after the presentations. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

  1. Class 1: Monday February 1, 2021. 6:00-8:00 PM Title: Precision Ag and Utilizing Drones for Farm Procedures Speakers: Austin Pearson and students from Heartland Career Center
  2. Class 2: Tuesday February 9, 2021. 6:00-7:30 PM Title: Ag Outlook Keys for 2021 Speaker: Jim Mintert (joining us virtually)
  3. Class 3: Monday February 22, 2021. 6:00-7:30 PM Title: Soil Health Demonstration and Soil Diagnostics. Speaker: Joe Rorick
  4. Class 4: Monday March 1, 2021 PARP 6:00-8:30 PM 

PARP credits will be available at the March 1 class, but we do ask that those wishing to receive credits pre-register by calling our office (260-563-0661 extension 1408) or by emailing Geoff Schortgen (gschortg@purdue.edu
