The fall and winter seasons can be beautiful and exciting, but the colder weather and shorter daylight can leave many people feeling down. Thought it is quite common to experience "winter blues" each year, millions of people in the U.S. experience a more intense seasonal depression known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and may not realize it. Whether it is winder blues or SAD, the first steps to feeling better are understanding the symptoms and learning the options for prevention and treatment.
