What We Do

Agriculture and Natural Resource Extension (ANR) Educators serve as research based, unbiased information source for county and state constituents on a variety of topics including: crops, ag business, livestock, natural resource, horticulture, small farms, urban ag, pesticide use, and land conservation. In partnership with Purdue University subject matter experts, ANR Extension Educators can provide relevant and proven best management practices to address many client's situational needs.

2026 Virtual Master Gardener

Volunteer Training to Open Soon

Our next Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Basic Training course will be the 2026 Statewide Virtual Basic Training, beginning the first week of February. This will be a 40-hour virtual training, which will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and for an additional hour on Thursdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. We will begin accepting applications, including the $185 cost, for this training in early December. CALVING ACADEMY

Join us for a hands-on training designed to prepare producers for real-world calving situations. This session
will cover stages of parturition, safe cow restraint, effective calf manipulation, and newborn calf care.
Participants will practice repositioning calves and using pulling chains with a phantom cow and learn which tools are essential when handling calving emergencies like dystocia.
