4-H Rabbit Club
About Us
The Rabbits 4-H Club is dedicated to empowering youth with knowledge and hands-on experience in rabbit care, management, and showcasing. Our mission is to foster learning, leadership, and a love for animals in a supportive and engaging environment where members can:
- Learn the fundamentals of rabbit care, including feeding, grooming, health, housing, and handling.
- Explore the characteristics and purposes of various rabbit breeds, including those raised for showing, meat, fiber, and companionship.
- Understand rabbit showmanship jargon and develop skills for successful presentation, judging, and competition.
- Participate in hands-on activities to prepare and showcase rabbits at fairs and shows.
- Build confidence, leadership, and responsibility through club activities, teamwork, and educational events.
- Promote respect for animals and an appreciation for the role of rabbits in agriculture and as pets.
Through workshops, projects, and competitive opportunities, we aim to inspire young rabbit enthusiasts to become knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate caretakers and advocates for rabbits.
