Purdue Extension Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care 2026

All youth who plan to exhibit cattle, swine, sheep, goats, rabbits, and/or poultry at the county and/or state fair must have a valid Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care OR YQCA certificate. 

To obtain a 4-H Quality Livestock Care Certificate, you must attend one of the following sessions prior to exhibition at the fair. Classes will be held at Sullivan County 4-H building. Cost is $3. Pre-registration preferred by calling the Extension office at 812-268-4332.

THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BY JUNE 22, 2026

Tuesday, March 10 5:30-6:30pm
Thursday, March 26 12:00-1:00 pm (Spring Break)
Tuesday, April 28 6:00-7:00pm
Thursday, May 14 5:45-6:45 pm
Sunday, June 14 2:00-3:00 pm

Purdue Extension will no longer be teaching YQCA courses. To obtain a YQCA certification, participants may take the course online for $12. (No in-person offerings) To see if your show requires YQCA training, check this list from the YQCA website: https://yqcaprogram.org/local/fairs_and_shows.php
