NPIP Testing: Chicken and Turkey exhibitor must turn in their NPIP affidavit of health when entering poultry for exhibit. Waterfowl is exempt from this requirement. Birds requiring tests can schedule appointments at the Heeke ADDL lab near Dubois, IN at ph. 812-678-3401. Waterfowl and Pigeon are exempt from this requirement.

Members may attend any training dates listed, OR a training in another county, OR complete the online YQCA training. July 1st Proof of Completetion is due

You do NOT need to fill out anything prior to picking up animal tags.

  1. Born and Raised must be an animal owned (not purchased) since birth and raised under the care of the 4-H member, 4-H parents, aunts, uncles, or grandparents
  2. Born and Raised must be declared in 4-H Online by May 15th by selecting the county raised box.
  3. Proof of location of owner and birth must be provided with owner information including name and physical address. Committee verifies the information as needed. (This will be collected via 4-H Online BEFORE Fair).
  4. There will be a Born and Raised for male and female for each species. For example, pigs will have a Born and Raised Market Gilt and Born and Raised Barrow. For cattle there would be born and raised heifer and born and raised steer.
  5. The Born and raised animals will be eligible for Grand Champion. This means a champion will be selected and those champions then will be in the grand drive for male and for female.

Mini 4-H (Grades K-2) members that will be exhibiting livestock at the 2026 Dubois County 4-H Fair must complete this waiver. If you have difficulties, paper copy is still accepted.
