Hamilton County 4-H Fair Special Events

Fair Events

The 4-H Fair is from July 16-20, 2026.

Free admission. All ages welcome. Drop in anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 PM in the Bicentennial Pavilion.

Grab your imagination and join us for an afternoon of creative building at Cardboard Creation Day! Using cardboard, tape, and a variety of recycled materials, participants of all ages can design, build, and decorate their own unique creations. Whether you dream of constructing a robot, a race car, a castle, an animal, or something completely original, this hands-on event is all about creativity, problem-solving, and fun.

No building experience is needed—just bring your ideas and a willingness to create. Materials will be provided, and volunteers will be available to help builders bring their visions to life. Participants can work independently, with friends, or as a family team.

Come explore engineering, art, and imagination in a welcoming environment where there are no wrong answers and every creation is one of a kind!

This new event allows 4-H members to share knowledge learned about their project with fairgoers. Standing at their exhibit display, the 4-H member will tell fairgoers how their exhibit was assembled, skills learned, and how they overcame challenges related to their 4-H project work. The 4-H member should plan to present this information concisely in 2-3 minutes, and be prepared to answer questions.

Who can participate? Any Indiana 4-H member with a project exhibit at the 2026 Hamilton County being displayed in Exhibition Center or Bicentennial building.

When and where will it occur? Learn From a 4-Her will occur Saturday during the Hamilton County 4-H Fair. 4-H members will present information while standing at their displayed exhibit. 3 pm- 4 pm in Exhibition Center and 4 pm- 5 pm in the Bicentennial building.

How do 4-H members sign-up? Pre-registration is not required. 4-H members simply need to check-in at the appropriate time on the Saturday of their choosing in that building.

What do 4-H members need to bring? The only items a 4-Her needs to bring is a positive attitude, smile on their face, and the ability to speak in front of a small group of strangers.

Is this a competition? This is a non-competitive event and is intended to be an educational opportunity for both the 4-Her and fairgoers. Each participating 4-H member will receive 4-H meal voucher.
