This event allows 4-H members to share their knowledge and enthusiasm about their 4-H project with fairgoers. Using a microphone and standing at their exhibit display, the 4-H member will tell fairgoers how their exhibit was assembled, skills learned, and how they overcame challenges related to their 4-H project work. The 4-H member should plan to present this information concisely in 2-3 minutes, and should be prepared to answer questions.

Who can participate?

Any Indiana 4-H member with a project exhibit at the Indiana State Fair being displayed in 4-H Exhibit Hall, 4-H Centennial Hall, or the Purdue Extension building.

When and where will it occur?

Learn From a 4-Her will occur each Saturday and Sunday during the Indiana State Fair. 4-H members will present information while standing at their displayed exhibit.

How do 4-H members sign-up?

Pre-registration is not required. 4-H members simply need to check-in at the appropriate time on the day of their choosing using the schedule below. Check-in at 4-H Centennial Hall information booth for presentation
instructions.

What do 4-H members need to bring?

The only items a 4-Her needs to bring is a positive attitude, smile on their face, and the ability to speak in front of a small group of strangers using the microphone provided.

Is this a competition?

This is a non-competitive event and is intended to be an educational opportunity for both the 4-Her and fairgoers. Each participating 4-H member will receive 4-H swag.

Who can provide more information?
